SCDOT eliminates plan that would have impacted Quail Hollow & River's Edge

Friends, I have some great news...

The alternative Malfunction Junction routes that would have gone through through Quail Hollow and River’s Edge have been eliminated by the South Carolina Department of Transportation.

Read the letter I received from DOT announcing that the proposed "East-West Connector" has been removed from the "Carolina Crossroads" plan. >>

You'll also note that there will be a public information meeting on Sept. 9, at which SCDOT will reveal new alternatives. I'll let you know as soon as I have more details about that meeting.

I’m ecstatic that SCDOT has given up on the idea of running a Malfunction Junction alternative through Quail Hollow and River's Edge.

It would have been a very unfortunate mistake that would have devastated these wonderful neighborhoods, and I'm so thankful they realized that...

... with a little help from the many fine folks who spoke up!

We couldn't have done this without you. By taking action, speaking out and making your voices heard, we made a difference. We saved Quail Hollow and River's Edge.

Thank you!
